Wasserman Schultz: Israel Ambassador Says GOP is "Dangerous for Israel"

As the home stretch of the presidential election begins, so does the amplified propaganda from Democrats and the Obama campaign.  We've mentioned that a possible October surprise could come in some form of Obama intervening in the Israel-Iran conflict to boost his re-election chances.  On Monday, this became more clear as the DNC yenta Debbie Wasserman Schultz said that the U.S. ambassador to Israel called the GOP "dangerous for Israel," as Democrats struggle to secure the Jewish vote.

The irony, of course, is that there hasn't been a president since Jimmy Carter that's had such a hate-on for Israel.  President Obama grew up surrounded by anti-Semites, so his actions support what he believes.  Debbie Wasserman Schultz made her comments during the Democratic National Convention when addressing Jewish Democrats at a session designed to teach Jews how to get other Jews to vote for Obama.  The session was also known as lies and propaganda.

More details from the Washington Examiner:

Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz claimed on Monday that Israel’s ambassador to the United States has accused Republicans of being “dangerous” to Israel by criticizing President Obama’s record.

The Florida congresswoman made the charge at a training session for Jewish Democrats held by the Obama campaign here at the Democratic National Convention, aimed at teaching Jewish Democrats how to convince their fellow Jews to vote for Obama.

Much of the session, which featured a string of speakers from the Obama campaign, was devoted to defending Obama’s record on Israel. During her talk, Wasserman Schultz said that Republicans, who “can’t get anywhere with our community on domestic issues” instead “do everything they can to lie and distort and mischaracterize this president’s stellar record on Israel.”

As she was wrapping up her remarks, she claimed that, “We know, and I’ve heard no less than Ambassador Michael Oren say this, that what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel.”

The Washington Examiner could find no such public reference by Oren accusing Republicans of being “dangerous” to Israel. The Israeli embassy would not respond to a request for comment.

Wasserman Schultz went on to elaborate that Republicans were “undermining Israel’s security by suggesting that the United States and Israel don’t have anything other than a unique and close and special relationship. It undermines Israel’s security to its neighbors in the Arab world and to its enemies. And we need to make sure that the fact that there has never been and will never be daylight between the two parties or the support for Israel that we have in the United States, that that is conveyed to Jewish Americans across this country. That’s our responsibility. It’s the responsibility we’re asking all of you to take on.”

She made similar remarks in a recent interview with Hadassah magazine.

Wasserman Schultz clearly intends to scare Jewish voters into voting for Obama.  An erroneous claim that's isn't backed up with any official statement indicates desperation to secure as much of the Jewish vote for Obama, which only makes up 2% of the vote nationally.  We're again seeing lies propagated by the Obama campaign, in collaboration with the Democratic National Committee, to scare voters that if Mitt Romney is elected, Israel...well, it's unknown what they're saying because Obama has already treated Israel bad enough.

The fact is this: Iran is not going to give up their nuclear weapon ambitions and Israel isn't going to let Iran have nuclear weapons.  There will be an altercation, it's just a matter of when.  And when that happens, it's best for America's top ally to have a president in office that actually wants to help them.

UPDATE:  Ambassador Michael Oren just released this statement: "I categorically deny that I ever characterized Republican policies as harmful to Israel. Bipartisan support is a paramount national interest for Israel, and we have great friends on both sides of the aisle."

It should come as no surprise that Debbie Wasserman Schultz, an unpopular Obama surrogate, lied through her teeth.  She's an absolute disgrace to Jews and women.
