The inmates ran the asylum. At least that's what happened from 2008 to 2010 when Democrats controlled both the House and Senate. In particular, we're referring to the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform bill, written by none other than the two housing crisis architects themselves, Barney Frank (D - MA) and Chris "Countrywide" Dodd (D - CT). Neither had any experience in the financial industry, therefore, they're overly qualified to ram a bill into law that is so massive it can't be fully implemented because the government can't figure out how to impose the over 400 new rules, regulations and laws. Included in Dodd-Frank, though, is the Office of Financial Research (OFR), which lawmakers are afraid will become so massive and out of control that they won't be able to stop it.

Arizona's immigration law, SB1070, has been in the national spotlight since it passed in 2010. It has been distorted and manipulated by the Left and the media primarily to paint Republicans as anti-immigrant racists. The objective is clear: Democrats need the Hispanic vote in order for Obama to win re-election. It's at this point when snake oil starts to get sold, which means Senator Chuck Schumer (D - NY) is involved. Today, the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) begins hearing the Arizona immigration law case. This caused panic among liberals back in 2010 because a state decided to take on an issue that the federal government ignored. It's what's going on behind the scenes that matters: Democrats, led by Schumer, are planning to invalidate Arizona's law if it's upheld by the SCOTUS.

Operation Fast and Furious is something the Obama administration would love to bury. It's a thorn in their side that won't go away, despite the liberal media's attempt to put out the fire numerous times. As recently as last week, it was reported that Congressman Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is expected to charge Attorney General Eric Holder with contempt for withholding information on Fast and Furious. With conservatives keeping this story alive, the White House has enlisted many of their key allies to clean up their mess through lies and distortion, but primarily to take the attention off of the White House's involvement in the gun smuggling operation. They somewhat diverted attention, that is until it became known that the Department of Justice has enlisted help from the criminal front group, Media Matters for America.
