The Obama administration has proclaimed they're the most transparent White House in American history. That's a load of bullshit and they know it, but the elite media would rather take their word for it. The cronyism that's taken place in the Obama administration is incredible, but most Americans are unaware. The GOP has recently asked the White House for a list of staffers' personal email addresses, as a number of top advisors use personal emails to conduct official government business. Translation: they want certain information kept off of the books.
Top advisors, such as David "the Red" Axelrod and Jim Messina, both of which now work for the Obama re-election campaign, are some of the biggest offenders. Axelrod, for example, during the heat of Obamacare, had his former firm promote the legislation, which he was still receiving payments from. This was illegal and not transparent. But nobody seems to be interested in finding out more information on this corruption.
Jim Messina, the creepy ginger that's tasked with propaganda and getting Obama re-elected, was also involved in Axelrod's unethical move. It's now been reported that others in the administration use their personal email addresses to conduct official government business. This is done to keep records off of the books. It's no different than them meeting with lobbyists at a local cafe, so they're able to say lobbyists haven't been in the White House. Oh yeah, they've done that, too.
More details from POLITICO:
Congressional Republicans asked the Obama administration on Friday for a list of White House staffers' personal email addresses used to conduct government business -- and copies of messages sent from those accounts -- amid new scrutiny of presidential aides' use of non-official accounts.
"The American people have a right to know that White House staff and federal officials are conducting the business of the government transparently and in accordance with record-keeping statutes," Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, wrote in a Friday letter to White House chief of staff Jack Lew.
The request comes after another House committee released a report earlier this week that included messages that Jim Messina, now the president's campaign manager, and other White House staffers sent and received from non-official accounts.
Issa is giving Lew until August 17 to provide a list of all White House officials who have used personal email addresses to send or receive messages that would be covered by the Presidential Records Act or the Federal Records Act.
For each of those people, Issa wants the personal email addressed used and for the White House to "identify any messages not forwarded to a government address." He is also asking for "any memoranda or other guidance available to White House staff related to the use of private e-mail accounts."
The Obama administration said they'll respond to Issa's request, but noted that this is "a nakedly political, taxpayer-funded effort designed to serve partisan interests". Well, it's not. This is the most non-transparent administration in history that's hiding behind their allies in the elite media. Liberals serving in public office achieve wealth through cronyism. The phony $787 billion stimulus is a prime example of that.
We expect this to fizzle out, as there are more important issues that the White House is trying to cover up. And with the 2012 election nearing, most Americans won't care much about this, unfortunately. The point is that this is the most corrupt White House in modern history; they perform tasks off the books so there's no public record of it. However, that won't stop claims of being transparent. Sorry, but something like a Solyndra doesn't happen without massive corruption and transparency.
