There's always two sides to the story with the Obama administration. For example, fewer illegal immigrants have entered the country, but it's not because of the borders - it's because of the U.S. economy, which has been so awful that there aren't enough jobs for illegal aliens. We've reported on numerous occasions that the White House is pursuing a backdoor to amnesty through executive order by government fiat. This is a fact. What's changed is that experts are now claiming that Barack Obama is "sandbagging" immigration policy in an effort to get the Hispanic vote. This is the Chicago Political Machine that now runs Washington after all, and Obama's legislative record is not strong enough to propel him to victory. He needs any vote he can get, which is why 13 million illegal aliens are so attractive.

While the numbers of illegal immigrants living in the U.S. have leveled off during the Obama presidency, suspicion is rising about whether the president is pandering to Latinos to attract their votes in November.
“Despite the claims of the Obama administration that they’ve been tough on illegal immigration and that the border is more secure than ever,” Center for Immigration Studies director of policy studies Jessica Vaughan told The Daily Caller, “the fact is that they have gone to extreme measures and have really stretched the authority of the executive branch to try to slow down immigration law enforcement in the interior to a slow trickle.”
“The Obama administration can’t help themselves from overreaching,” Vaughan chuckled.
Vaughan pointed to a recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement settlement that awarded $350,000 to 11 illegal immigrants in New Haven, Conn. The plaintiffs had accused ICE agents of violating constitutional protections against racial profiling after they were arrested in the “sanctuary city” in 2007. The settlement also terminated the plaintiffs’ deportation proceedings.
“The administration has chosen not to defend the actions of its agency in doing its routine job,” Vaughan explained. “They have put pressure on all of the agents all over the country to avoid arresting illegal aliens.”
What we have with the Obama administration is contempt for the immigration laws of the country, therefore, complete disregard for the nation's security. To circumvent Congress, which has voted down the amnesty DREAM Act bill, the White House is using executive powers to enforce illegal policy for the sake of getting re-elected.
Securing the Hispanic vote is a big deal for Democrats because it also helps their constituency, primarily the labor union thugs. More union members equals more forced union dues that can be recycled into the pockets of Democratic lawmakers. It's a wonderful little system that liberals have concocted, with the exception that it makes America less safe. Fear and lies will be the cornerstone to Obama's re-election campaign, but having the support of the Hispanic vote by easing immigration policy is a scary scenario. Regardless, President Obama and his team of minions will stop at nothing to hold on to power.
