It was slightly more than a year ago that White House communications director Anita Dunn waged an all-out war against FOX News. They boycotted the network because they actually practiced real journalism and asked objective questions to the most radical and non-transparent administration in history. Once the White House realized they needed FOX News because they had the highest ratings and the most independent viewers, the administration changed their tone and began utilizing the network. Today marks the second interview between the undocumented President Obama and Bill O'Reilly - their first occurred when Obama was still a Senator.
O'Reilly opened the interview by praising Obama and White House Press Secretary Robert "Goebbels" Gibbs for helping out FOX News anchor Greg Palkot, who was attacked the other day in Egypt by pro-Mubarak thugs who accused him of being an Israeli spy. Praise shouldn't be given in this situation because support from the State Department is expected and almost mandatory. As always, O'Reilly is a narcissist, as is Obama, and O'Reilly really cares about his ratings and image more than anything. The strategy seemed to work for the rest of the interview - open with praise and understanding, then move on to criticizing.
On the topic of Egypt and the Muslim Brotherhood, Obama is clueless. He will go down as the president who lost Egypt. His priorities aren't foreign policy - they're social justice and advancing the liberal agenda.
The most interesting question was about Obamacare being ruled unconstitutional last week by a federal judge. Obama spit out his talking points, which O'Reilly actually intervened and cut him off. Obama said that he doesn't view what he calls health care reform as unconstitutional. His opinions don't matter here, though. Only the courts matter. What the administration is now trying to do is implement as much of Obamacare as possible before it reaches the Supreme Court. They know how the SCOTUS is going to rule, which is why they need the bill enforced as much as possible. This is why liberals don't want the Supreme Court to take on the case sooner rather than later.
When asked about redistributing wealth, the president, who is arguably the most radical liberal in this position in recent history, laughed at the notion. He was clearly uncomfortable with the question, as he should've been. After all, he openly lied to the world. He's a big government liberal, as O'Reilly pointed out. Obama's response was to redirect the accusation towards O'Reilly and how people view him. Thin-skin at its finest.
Off of the teleprompter, Obama is a terrible communicator. He's not an effective leader; he's an effective campaigner. All Obama cares about is pushing the liberal agenda, which becomes more and more clear each and everyday. If you don't see that happening, you're one of the lemmings - the Obama drones.
O'Reilly, who's hardly a staunch conservative, did a decent job during the interview. Again, both O'Reilly and Obama were in it for themselves. O'Reilly will get to brag to his viewers all week and Obama gets a chance to be discussed during the Super Bowl. What we again learned, though, is that President Obama is truly incompetent for the job - he wants all the perks without actually doing the job. He couldn't even pick a team who he thought would win the game.
