Once again, this isn't Groundhog Day. After calls for shared sacrifice, compromise and birthday cakes made of rainbows in his Monday night press conference, President Obama's White House staff again threatened to veto House Speaker John Boehner's debt ceiling bill. Essentially, Tuesday was a claptrap and a complete waste of a day as the GOP tried to get bipartisan support on Boehner's bill, but couldn't even muster enough votes from their base to pass it. If this nonstop rigmarole was as exciting as Congressman Barney Frank's gay brothel that he operated out of his house in the 1980's, it'd be much more interesting. It's not, but it certainly highlights how demagogic President Obama and his liberal cronies are when they don't have a solution.
Thanks to President Obama's arrogant explanation, Americans now know what this debt ceiling thingy is. Vice Idiot Joe Biden must have given the President some of his plagiarized work to figure the issue out. Additionally, we also know that corporate jets, the wealthy and oil producers are on the FBI's Most Wanted list for holding America hostage and putting them in this fiscal mess. Fortunately, that's not true, but it certainly shows how fanatic Obama's focus group minions are at crafting their message, regardless of the truth.
News broke last night that Boehner scrapped his plans to bring his bill to a vote today and is instead waiting until Thursday. The reason is because he doesn't have the votes and the CBO score wasn't as good as he expected. It barely addresses the issue, which is the out-of-control spending in Washington. Boehner's bill would only cut the deficit by $850 billion, not the $1.2 trillion he originally claimed. Both amounts are a hair plug on Chuck Schumer because they're counted over a 10-year period, thus they're spread out and hardly address the immediate problem. For whatever reason, many politicians don't see the severity of this situation.
Boehner will be modifying his bill to get more support from the conservative base, which is needed. The liberal base doesn't care about the issue, so it doesn't really matter what they think. To fight the inevitable argument, if liberals cared, then where is their plan? There isn't one. The modified GOP bill will likely include higher savings and or the Cut, Cap and Balance that Democrats refuse to endorse because it's a measure from the GOP. As Senator Jim DeMint (R - SC) said, "The fact that the President won't even consider balancing the budget over the next ten years is frightening." And he's spot on. Bush was a spendaholic, but Obama is Bush on steroids and his spending has not helped the economy, but rather has divided the nation.
With the White House chief propagandist and Harry Potter stunt-double Jay Carney stating that Obama will veto the Boehner bill, it's time to call his bluff.
"The Speaker's proposal cannot pass the Senate, will not pass the Senate, will not reach the president's desk. We have a divided government. We have a two-party system. No party controls every branch of government. Compromise is the only option."
It's now clear that the White House is opposed to any GOP backed plan. Unfortunately for them, the Democratic party has only put together one bill, which almost mirrors Boehner's bill, was started just eight days before the August 2 deadline, knowing it won't pass the House. An Obama speech can't be scored, but the strategy behind that is there's nothing in writing, so they can't be blamed. As more details unravel of the behind-the-scenes, politburo talks on the deficit and debt ceiling debate, there has been compromise. However, the great uniter, Barack Obama, told Harry Reid to toss his joint bill with Boehner into Michelle's organic garden over the weekend because it was a short-term solution. For Obama, he needs to focus on his 2012 re-election campaign and can't be distracted by these irrelevant issues. Pathetic? Yes. Surprising? Is the Pope German?
When Obama interrupted primetime television on Monday night to give a campaign speech as if he was speaking to the Democratic National Committee, one and only one of his possessed skills was shown: community organizing. The phone lines and websites on Capitol Hill yesterday almost doubled in volume! America finally got to see the roots of our president. It's just unfortunate for him that his speech provided absolutely nothing to the debate.

Its juvenile writing at best, and unintelligible blubbering at worst.
Learn to write first, kid. I suspect you have a point or two there somewhere, and if you learned to really write, you may be able to bring them across, and perhaps even be funny!
This Satire sounds more like anti Obama ranting and is
not constructive.
I too am disappointed in Google.
I fail to see any humor or satire.
Is Google also anti Obama.
I'm starting to wonder.
1. The use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.
So it's not only about humor, as many often think.
It seems that the people complaining about this site are typical liberals that want to silence the opposition. Google includes the Huffington Post, NY Times & Fox in their results, so they take all political angles. Just because you don't like the view doesn't mean it shouldn't be Included online, but we know that's not what you want.
Liberals will find any reason to silence the opposition. Clearly many people don't know the definition of satire. It doesn't have to be fake.
Americans are too used to fighting amongst ourselves over the petty and semantical differences we hold. We should be helping each other through our common problems to find solutions for the ills our leaders have brought to us, whether that's war, debt, or irresponsibilit y.
As far as why it is on Google News - Google computers rank articles by particular scores, for instance how many people reference that article. It's just a big computer folks, it can't actually understand what it is presenting.
Another fact to ponder..... 535 people control the direction of this country. Can't we locate another 535 people that can run it better??
Lastly, the president isn't soley responsible for anything regarding budgets or laws. He can only propose budget, not pass them individually. Passing them is up to who...that's right, ALL of our congress!
There's no hope in goverment, only in the Lord.
"Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s" (direct quote, BTW). So, I suspect all you supposed Christians will fall in line now and pay your f'ing taxes.
The only logicl plan is to raise the debt ceiling like they have done 70+ times before. AND THEN, begin writing legislation that immediately reduce our deficit. Start with creating tax revenue, close the tax loopholes on those asshole corporations that are setting up shop overseas to avoid taxes. And get rid of the fucking tax vacation the wealthiest americans have been given for the last decade.
Oh and someone go find G.W. string him up to a tree and stone his ass for these god awful elitist tax breaks and costly wars!
The Republicans are dumb and dumber at this point. Democrats don't have to enter that gutter.
The simply solution stares at those vacuous heads. Raise the debt ceiling,
They all can then get into the gutter and do whatever it is they do for over $171,000 per year.
The truth is the Democrats refuse to accept reality. Bush spent too much, but lets face it Obama puts Bush to shame. He claimed he would get us out of wars. Has he done so yet? Nope. Has he cut spending? Nope. Has he raised taxes ( he could of he controlled both the house and the Senate remember? But he didn't.
So hate to say it, I don't think the Republicans are the stupid ones here and how short a memory people like you have is rather frightening.
The entire republican party is based on anti-intellectu al emotional based attacks, rather than using the slightest bit of fact, or tact for that matter. Think church of Scientology: a good offense is better than having an idea worth defending.
That, and they lie something like three times more than the average democrat..

Please, let us not make overstatements when discussing the facts.
Oh by the way, the President keeps blaming the Republican in case of default. At least the Republicans did its constitutional duty to pass a bill to avoid a default. It is actually the president that can cause a default when he will use his veto power.
Veto power will trigger default. I hope a lawyer like Obama really understand that, or he just took the American public for a ride.
Plus Joe Biden jokes. Joe Biden! Just that name makes me laugh. And to top it all off, a Harry Potter look-a-like joke!!! Yes, Harry Potter jokes stopped being funny 10 years ago, but that's precisely why it's funny. It's so unfunny it's funny!
Maybe if you stupid liberals weren't so busy snorting government spending, you'd recognize funny when you saw it.
You people are -- wait for it! - just incredible.
Late with my pizza. No tip for you.
Have a blessed day.
Nope, this has to be a huge Soros-funded, UN-sanctioned, Google socialist front.
Time for both sides to act like adults. Compromise like the system of government was intended from the beginning then be done with it to wrestle over the next thing on the country's agenda.
Not to be overly pejorative but, sir, I know satire, satire is a friend of mine but you are not satirist. For clarification see here: www.theonion.com
I can assure you all that if Congress does not raise the debt limit by 8/2 there will be no default because the country will then have reached a state of emergency and the President will use his authority as President under the 14th Amendment to raise the debt ceiling.
