Republicans Ready Contempt Charges Against Holder Over Fast and Furious

If there's one issue that House Republicans have followed through on it's attention they've brought to Operation Fast and Furious, the gun tracking operation that led to the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. The investigation by House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa (R - CA) has solely been to hold people accountable for their actions. Democrats claim it's a political witch hunt during an election year, but there's enough evidence to prove them wrong. Yesterday, House Republicans started the process to bring forward contempt charges on the incompetent Attorney General Eric Holder. It's long overdue, as are answers to the covert gun control operation.
Eric Holder is a race-baiter that used to defend terrorists from Guantanamo Bay at his previous job. Clearly, he's a fit for the Obama administration. His lack of judgement has spread across the Department of Justice (DOJ), as is evident on a daily basis, but particularly with their response to Fast and Furious inquiries. These are reasons that contempt charges are being processed.
The documents allege that the Justice Department has issued, "false denials, given answers intended to misdirect investigators, sought to intimidate witnesses, unlawfully withheld subpoenaed documents, and waited to be confronted with indisputable evidence before acknowledging uncomfortable facts."
"The Justice Department's demonstrable contempt for the congressional investigation has inflicted harm on the people of two nations seeking the truth - and very pointedly on the family of fallen Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and ATF whistleblowers who now face retaliation in the wake of their own heroic efforts to expose wrongdoing," says the brief to be distributed Thursday.
Fast and Furious is not a one-off issue, but rather a pattern that's inbred in the DOJ. They have not complied with Darrell Issa's every request, which obviously leads to speculation as to why. Beyond the notion that this wasn't botched, but rather a calculated operation by the Obama administration as a means to enforce stricter gun control laws, there's still an American citizen that was killed and nobody has been held accountable.
