BP Gulf Oil Spill Report Reveals Political Consequences Drove White House Decisions

A report released from a panel appointed by President Obama reveals that the White House was slow to react to the BP Gulf Oil Spill.  However, the most troubling part of the report shows that the government only decided to ramp up their response once political concerns began to surface.  It's troubling to look back on the events and discover that the death of 12 people and a massive Gulf of Mexico oil spill only drew a response after political ramifications were apparent.  The commission didn't investigate the 'why' aspect behind these details, but again, it's clear the Obama administration put politics in front of the people.
