Verdict Delivered in Bizarre Blagojevich Trial

The disgraced and foul-mouthed former governor of Illinois Rod Blagojevich has been found guilty - only on one of 24 charges brought against him. This was a devastating blow to U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald, who seemed to have everything going his way from the start. The jury convicted Blago for lying to the FBI five years ago. Of the more serious charges, primarily the attempted sale of a U.S. Senate seat, the jury was hung. As the prosecutors begin their jury selection for a retrial, this could be more damage for Democrats come November.

Ground Zero Mosque Developers to Meet with Paterson About Relocating

The Ground Zero mosque has been dominating the headlines of nearly every media outlet, other than the mainstream liberal media, for the past week or so. The situation has reached fever pitch and with the undocumented President Obama supporting the mosque, it's become an even hotter issue. As of this evening, the latest development involves a meeting that's been scheduled between the unelected New York Governor David Paterson and the developers of the Cordoba Initiative about relocating the mosque to property provided by the state. The mosque developers originally ignored this option, but the recent attention to the situation has likely caused them to reconsider.

Obama Goes Shirtless, But Not in Gulf of Mexico

The undocumented President Obama is only about three months late, but he finally took a vacation to the Gulf of Mexico to take a dip months after the BP oil spill and explosion. America's First Family has been on a slew of vacations in the past few months, but residents of the Gulf Coast were thrilled to see their commander-in-chief go put on his floaties to prove to the country that it's safe to swim in the water. The problem with this, other than only half of Obama should be able to swim because he's half black, is that he swam in Saint Andrew Bay and not the Gulf were the oil spill occurred, which was closed because of riptide warnings.
